The 13th Annual Spring Carnival is less than one week away! Carnival Wristbands can still be purchased at vdmpta.org or you can pay with cash/check by filling out a waiver at school. Wristbands are good for all games and attractions. Tickets can still be purchased and are used for popcorn, water, balloon animals, and to enter the Teacher Feature Raffles (for the complete list of raffles, please check vdmpta.org). The raffles will close at 7:00 PM, please make sure you put your tickets in before then! Food can be purchased from many of our food trucks. If you have already ordered your wristbands and tickets by Thursday, May 4th, they should have been sent home on Friday or will be sent home on Monday. If you ordered after Friday, May 5th, you can pick up orders at the entrance of the carnival (this year, the entrance is between the office building and the "first grade pod" on the elementary side).
We still need volunteers for many of our games. Without at least one volunteer at each game/attraction, we will have to shut down that game/attraction. With the exception of the MPR/Auction, all games and attractions can be staffed by parents, students, and/or service organization groups (the MPR/Auction needs to have an adult-no students please). Please sign up to volunteer at one of the sign ups:
General Help (volunteers signed up on this one will fill any gaps at any games we have or help keep the school clean)
Cake Walk (help run the cake walk game, this one is perfect to do with your young student-they love to call the numbers)

The auction will be in the MPR this year and will open on line on Monday, May 8 and close on line on Thursday, May 11th. All items that were not "bought out" will be rolled over to Friday, May 12th (not all items can be bought out, some items will go to the highest bidder at 7:00 PM on May 12th). The closing bid on Thursday will be the opening bid on Friday. On Friday, the auction will close at 7:00 PM. To find our auction, please visit https://www.32auctions.com/vdmcarnivalauction. Winning bids can be paid for by check, cash, or credit card. Be sure to check the on line auction often as new items may be added (we are still continuing to accept donations).
The Cake Walk and Cake Decorating Contest is back! All students and parents can enter the contest. Drop off your cakes to the MPR on Friday, May 12 between 7:45 and 8:30 AM. All cakes will be donated to the cake walk. Find complete rules here.
