Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a national volunteer program where father-figures volunteer one day a year helping out on campus, providing an extra layer of safety as well as assistance to teachers and staff.

We work with multiple community stakeholders to improve the safety of children going to and from our campus. We are currently looking for a volunteer to build a Bike Safety Program. See position description below.

Past accomplishments include: Worked with Talega HOA to add fencing along the east side of campus, worked with the city to have a crosswalk painted at the north intesection of the Talega Marketplace, facilitated installing additional bike racks along with VdM Middle School administration and CUSD, and much more.

Our district supplies the basic emergency needs for Vista del Mar, however additional safety items are often requested by the school. In the past, the Safety Committee has purchased walki-talkies, classroom emergency supplies, campus safety signage, and more.
