Join us three times a year for our exciting Book Fair! The PTA hosts these events to encourage a love of reading among students, offering a wide selection of books for all ages. Proceeds help fund school programs and initiatives.

October 10th - 24th 2025

Students are sponsored by family and friends to read, raising funds for our school. It's a fun way to promote literacy, enjoy reading, and win exciting prizes!

October 23 - 31, 2025

Join us for Red Ribbon Week, a vital campaign to educate students about the dangers of drug use and promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles. The PTA organizes engaging activities to empower our kids to make healthy choices.

Vista del Mar’s 4th Annual Trunk-or-Treat is almost here! Join us for trick-or-treating, a costume contest, photo booth, balloon artist, food trucks, and more. Admission is free, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Class Trunk Needed: Each class must host at least one trunk. If you’re interested (or want to team up), please let Carla or Karey know. The top 4 decorated trunks win prizes (Game Day or Homework Passes)!

Candy Contest (starts Oct. 13): Donate sealed bags of wrapped candy (have your child bring them into class starting Oct. 13). The top 4 classes with the most candy pieces donated win a prize (PJ and Movie Day in the MPR or Extended Recess)!

Food Onsite: Ballpark Pizza (pizza, salad, drinks) + Taco Truck

Join us at the VdM Blacktop and MPR for a Science Party! We’ll have hands-on chemistry experiments, dry ice and a giant outdoor telescope as well as a chance to enjoy the science of cotton candy, popcorn and bubbles! Don't miss your chance to win prizes and more!

The PTA hosts monthly ‘Recess Enrichment’ sessions, facilitating simple and fun art projects with students during the 1st recess. It's a great way for kids to express their creativity and enjoy a break from the usual playground routine. They love it!

During Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTA decorates the teachers' lounge and provides a delicious breakfast to show our gratitude. Join us in honoring the hard work and dedication of our amazing teachers and staff.

Fathers, grandfathers, and uncles are invited to join our volunteer security team. Watch D.O.G.S. helps enhance school safety and provides positive male role models for the students.

Our PTA designs awesome swag for students and families to wear. Purchase your spirit wear and show your school pride. A portion of the proceeds supports school programs.

Link your Ralph's card to our school, and a portion of your grocery purchases will be donated to our school. It's an easy and convenient way to contribute to our school.

Use the code "MAKOS" with Farm Fresh to You, and they will donate 10% of your order total to our school. Enjoy fresh, organic produce delivered to your door while supporting our students.

The PTA collaborates with Treering to design our school’s yearbooks. Participate in the cover contest, and submit your own photos to be featured. Celebrate the year's memories and milestones with a beautifully crafted yearbook.

It's time to buy your 1st day school supplies for the 2025/2026 school year! I know it seems early, but before you know it, summer will be here. It's important you order your supplies before it's too late or supplies could run out. Start the school year with the exact supplies your teacher requested!
